The White Raven
The sky was constantly shifting. A thousand birds of a thousand species squawked and sang together, for once united. Eagles bit back their appetites and refrained from chasing the crows. Plovers and geese called together.
On the ground marched lions, tigers, horses, and coyotes like myself. Wolves snarled at everyone outside of their pack, and when they found a pack-mate, they yipped and pranced in delight. I couldn’t overpower any of them physically, but I briefly considered making ribbons out of one snapping idiot’s ear.
I stopped the thought (and my walking) and looked up. Far up, on a castle tower, I saw a white speck. That s
