Im honestly really sorry if this offends you in any way, but Ive always wondered why people with a lower skill level of drawing will go and critique some art that is far beyond what they can do.
Nope, does not offend me. I'm used to people saying such things to me.
Well, that and the best art I can do is lost in a black hole somewhere in my room.
The thing is, I can figure out what can be fixed in someone else's art, but I have no idea how to translate this into my own artwork. I don't work with half the mediums I critique on anyways (digital, oil paints, etc.). On the other hand, I can tell if this-that-or-the-other-thing could be gotten rid of to make the thing look better, or if the shading is to choppy or blah blah blah. I'm looking on it in a way that I can't look at my own work, because I fear being biased or something along those lines.
That's about it.
Kittyatetherainbow Sep 22, 2012  Student Traditional Artist so glad you didnt take that badly!
thanks so much for the answer! (I thought you were a pretty level headed person so thats why I asked you instead of someone else.)
I figured screaming like a maniac wouldn't help any point I was trying to make. ;p
